MYSIA. Lampsakos (?). Circa 500-450 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 10 mm, 2.13 g). Forepart of Pegasos with curved wings to right; before, branch of ivy (?).

This coin forms part of an interesting series of hektai struck in very pale electrum with a Pegasos on the obverse. Traditionally attributed to Lampsakos, the styles and fabrics of these coins vary greatly and they may, in fact, come from differing mints.
